33. Old Suzuki bowlback mandolin (647)  140 euros new

Larger photos are available on request.

This is an old, Suzuki concert mandolin. It is in good condition after minimal restoration. There a makers label which says.....

Kiso-Suzuki Violin

Model No.9655

Kiso Suzuki Violin Co Ltd.

This instrument is now fully restored and playable. The top is scuffed, but sound with No repairs. It has a superb 27-piece, maple bowl back and sides. The original concert fingerboard and frets are level. The tuners, tail and bridge are all originals. It retains the original finish throughout in excellent condition. It has been restrung with ultra-light GHS bronze wound classical strings, and is now playing well with an easy action, and a deep, strong, round sound, with good sustain and volume.

Other than cleaning, I have completed the repairs as follows… 1) levelled and dressed the original frets; 2) refitted the bridge; 3) repaired and refitted the arm guard; and 4) restrung and set up.
