Mandolin Family (floating bridge instruments)

Unlike many luthiers, I specialise in the floating bridge, mandolin family of instruments. By and large, construction techniques between these instruments are very similar, with the exceptions of the carved top of the 'bluegrass' mandolin and also the difference between 'bowl' and 'flat' backed instruments. There is a great variety in sizes and tunings for each instrument, which makes it an interesting area in which to work.
